- I have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University, where I also teach first-year rhetoric and writing.
This was really creative and i really liked the videos that we're added to the site. The website as a whole was fun to look at and gave good information.
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a really fun topic. I liked the video, it was really funny. I think you should definitely add some stuff about fashion and dress because the 80's is so famous for strange fashion.
ReplyDeleteI liked the idea of showing the moonwalk. It was a good idea to put a video and website together, I didn't know you could do that. I could tell Darryl has had much practice with the moonwalk! The video was good, but I found it hard to see.
ReplyDeleteI thought your presentation was very good. You guys explained your website very clearly and described who did what page and why you decided to do each of those pages. My only problem there was that some of the members didn't talk very loudly so i couldn't really hear what you were saying, but other than that your presentation was very good in its detail.
ReplyDeleteThe video of the moon walk was good as well. I don't know that i would be able to do the moon walk after seeing it, but you did a good job trying to explain how to do it. I couldn't actually see his feet in one seen because it was too dark and fuzzy, so next time try to make sure that you have the lighting right. Also, at the beginning I think you had a thought bubble that was too small to read from where I was sitting so I don't know if I missed out on something.
Great job with your website. Darryl, that was a great video. Your awesome. Your presentation was very interesting. There were a lot of great facts used on your website. I liked how your topic was the moonwalk but you also followed up with background information about the Michael Jackson and other interesting topics of the time.
ReplyDeleteI'm really glad that you guys decided to do a website as well as a video. The website gave a lot of history and background that helps you understand the "Moon Walks" past and then the video was funny and made it easy for an average Joe to do. Great job, I just think I would make sure the video is bright enough.

This was an interesting topic to pick, but you guys handled it very well. But the facts about the 80's i didn't think it was all that relative so i don't know if you would really need to put that on there
ReplyDeleteThe idea to make a video about how to dance was great. However, it was very hard to see the video because it was dark and a little bit blurry. I think it would have been more interesting if we could see what you were doing. It is good that you had the directions underneath, but for people who are visual learners, the video was not much help. You had fun information on your site, and I like that you each took a different approach to what you talked about. The only thing I wondered was what the 80s page had to do with Michael Jackson. It was neat to hear what happened in the 80s but not much of that information had anything to do with Michael Jackson.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED your guys' idea! I myself am a hugggge fan of the moonwalk and got really excited when you announced your topic! Darryl, the video was great. I may just have to use it to learn. From there, I love how you guys backed it up with background information on Michael! The hot topics of the times were really great! I loved it. You guys really seemed to work well together. :)
ReplyDeleteThe topic was really interesting and I'm sure everybody else thought so too, so you really caught everybody's attention especially with the videos. I enjoy dancing and watching it so I was entertained by your project. The second video was hard to see but other than that the overall presentation was good.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the video and website. The video was very dark from the fair lighting but i felt the website had some very entertaining information that most people wouldn't have known otherwise. There were some interesting pictures and video that gave the viewer a variety of what your website was about. i felt that your presentation wasn't thought out very well and that some people may have done more work than others.
ReplyDeleteI think that our website turned out great, especially since we switched from doing just a video to a website and a video a week ago. I really liked the 80s' page that Becca did and found it very interesting. I think that our presentation could have been a little more thought out but I know that I don't like speaking in front of people so I'm glad I didn't have to talk a whole lot. As a group I think that we could have worked together a little more but in the end the project came together nicely.

ReplyDeleteThanks guys! We decided to do an 80's page because we thought it would be relevant because the moonwalk premiered in the 80's. I understand how you guys would see that it shouldn't be apart of the website because it is about Michael Jackson and his moonwalk.
ReplyDeleteOther than that I think our website turned out well. We really rallied in the end to make this turn out the way it did. Our group worked very well and everyone contributed to the work. I would do a website again!
Awesome presentation and video. The website was well engineered and greeted the viewer with a photo and then moves them on to text. The video lighting was iffy in spots, but I still got the idea. Darryl's skills are matched only by the King of Pop himself. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteI thought the idea of putting the video on the website was helpful. In some areas of the video it was hard to see and could have been clearer. Other than that the video was good.

ReplyDeleteWith the recent passing of Michael Jackson, the topic for your project and presentation was timely. Even though your video had some portions that were too dark to see, there were other portions that were filmed well.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation was informative and I think that the audience could tell that you had a good time working together on the assignment. My only suggestion is that, speakers should try to always face the audience when possible. Again, fun and informative.
I enjoyed this website. I am a huge Michael Jackson fan. I liked all the information you had and the videos you provided. I saw a few spelling errors and one of the videos was a little too long. But it was a very good project overall.
ReplyDeleteI love the topic =) Usually websites are boring... but this was actually entertaining to look at. I think the home page was great, having a How-To video. I also like that you included some historical information.
ReplyDeleteYour website on Michael Jackson's moonwalk was really informative. I did not know what the moonwalk is and the history associated with that. Especially you videos were really helpful to understand what the moonwalk is,how to perform it and know tge history behind it. Your presentation was good but the speakers had to face the audience and speak as explicitly as possible. Overall everything was good.
ReplyDeleteThe moon walk is awesome, and Darryl you glide across that floor so smooth, you must have practiced for years. It was entertaining, the website looked great visually, the facts within the website were relevant I believe, and it was a good choice to do both a website and video for your project. Over all, it was fun to view this project which made me want to find out more about the moon walk.

I thought the informative video that you made was interesting but it didn't need to have an insult at the end of it. i also wonder why you had a section about the 80's. it seemed kind of off topic. although i think the project is great!

Most people like Michael Jackson's moonwalk, but not so many people know much about it. Your web site is really very informative and interesting. At the same time, it reminds me of Michael Jackson.
