Seeing as all our group members are freshman, we have found the printing process at Bracken Library to be somewhat confusing; so we made a video going step by step. It walks you through everything from logging on to turning your paper in. We hope this takes away any confusion you have had while trying to print in the library.

I think that you guys picked a good topic to cover. I know when I first started going to the library to print stuff i had to watch several people do it first because I had no idea what I was doing. Good Job!

ReplyDeleteYour video was very informative. I wish that this video was out when I first had to print things off in the library. This will help a lot of people when they are printing things off. Your presentation was very smooth. I like how you guys explained how to do it after again to make sure people know how to print things off. You guys have very good speaking voices, firm yet soft so get the point across. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteI liked your video a lot. It was very clear and stated the rules in a clear way. It definitely makes learning how to use the printers a lot easier. There wasn't really a lot you could do with that video so I feel like you did a good job with what you had.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation was very good as well. Each person said their part. I liked that Fayeann started off with a question. It got my attention because I did have trouble with the printers at first. I feel like your presentation went very smoothly without any awkward lulls.
I really liked the idea for this project. I have never printed in the library, but now i'll know how!Just make sure when you give a presentation you speak up, it was hard to hear some of you.
ReplyDeleteI really thought the project was useful and that you did a good job presenting it. With that being I think you could have improved on the video's of the computer screens. Because of low fps (frames per second) it usually doesn't look good to record a computer screen with a video camera. There is free software that allows you to record the screen electronically. Other than that I thought your presentation was very smooth and divided well between your members. great job :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you guys made this actually now if I have to go print something off at the library I don't look stupid. good job with the project
ReplyDeleteI like that you explained why you chose your topic. It's nice to know that someone else had the printing problem also. A few things I would suggest would be to have shown the computer screen more close up so that we can see where you are finding the file and print button. Also, the video shoul have stated that you have to walk over to the other computer to print your paper.
ReplyDeleteI thought your project was over a really good topic because the printers in the library are confusing and you explained all the steps to using them. Even when your group had a few problems you overcame them and your presentation and overall project still turned out good. The video was good along with the editing. I know that can be difficult.
ReplyDeleteYour video was short, sweet, and to the point it gave precise directions on how to print in Bracken Library. I also liked how you explained some of the problems that you faced while doing the project. Overall you all did a great job.
ReplyDeleteyour presentation was well thought out, you each seemed to have your topics planned. the video was a very useful thing, because i have had problems with printing as well. The steps were very easy to follow, but i wish you would shown an example, like when you talked about which printer to go to, i wish you would have said 'number 6 which is located on the _______ end of the library", or the color in the black printing number boxes, that would have just made it easier to follow. Also, there was a little background noise, which I'm sure was unavoidable, but maybe something you've considered as well. But overall the topic and video is very useful to students and easy to follow.
ReplyDeleteI thought your presentation was very informative. I liked how you went into detail and explained each step twice. I thought the video was very helpful to people who are not sure how to print in the library. I know it would have been helpful for me my first time at the library.
ReplyDeleteI like your project since I was also confused with printing before. The first time I used it, I was really confused. I had no idea how to do that until a person helped me. I think your video will be very helpful to those who use them first time. Good job.
ReplyDeleteYour presentation and video went very well together and everything flowed nicely. I liked the video especially, you put the time stretch tool to good use by speeding up the parts that would have been too long otherwise.
ReplyDeleteI think this was a good topic to cover, especially for incoming freshman at Ball State. A lot of freshman, or even upperclassmen don't know how to print in the library so I think that it was very informative. Good job.
ReplyDeleteYour video was very informative and serves a useful purpose. It was interesting to hear how you worked around the obstacles that you encountered during filming.
ReplyDeleteThe presentation portion of the assignment was exceptional because you ended by restating your main points. The only suggestion I have is that, gum should not be chewed when talking to an audience. Great job!
This was a good topic. I'm sure many freshmen are confused on how to print at the library. You could of made the video a little more interesting. But it had good information and visual examples.
ReplyDeleteOverall, I think you guys had a great topic idea and I like that you chose to do a video for it. I think that some of the images could have been more clear, but it still got the point across. Great job
ReplyDeleteOverall, the video was really good and informative because when I first came to Ball State University, I was confused as to how print from the Bracken Library.I wish you could present this video earlier so that I would not have so much trouble.I am sure that this video will be helpful for future incoming freshman students.
ReplyDeleteThis video about printing, is awesome. I know I've gone to the library and found that the printer was confusing at first (I had to go and ask how the whole thing worked). Its a shame that I didn't get a chance to watch this video before that incident. It was informative, looked nice, the transitions went well, over-all a solid video.
ReplyDeleteThe topic was a good one to present. Not many freshman or new students know how to print off at the library. it's kind of confusing at first. the video seemed a little short so you could have maybe included when you get to the printer how sometimes you have to click on your paper if there is a lot of other projects. the transitions and overall video is good though! nice work!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed watching this video. It was a topic that most people are not aware of how to do. Especially new student to Ball State University. The pace of the video was great. It kept moving but it was not too fast to the point where the person watching it can not keep up. The narrator had a clear voice and was easy to understand. The video work was great because it focused in on the computer screen and not the person. I think that this video was overall a success.
ReplyDeleteI thought this video provided vital information for incoming freshman. I've seen so many people who go over and stand by the printer waiting for their stuff to come out and they didn't know they had to find their name on the computer beside the printer. This video is very informative and could be very useful.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I have been trying to do, is print through wireless. The video was very informative, and helped with the step by step process. The video was not very humorous but didn't need to be. You guys kept my attention through the whole thing. The topic chosen was perfect, because I would say that 80% of freshman don't know how to do this. Overall very well done!
